This is a opportunity within Macmillan as a MSO on a permanent basis. We are looking for candidates that are passionate about cancer. 1 wte - 37.5 hours per week

  • Be responsible and accountable for their practice under the guidance and supervision of the Macmillan Breast Care Nursing Team, and by working as part of the Breast multidisciplinary team (MDT).
  • Work in partnership with the Macmillan Nursing Team to provide patient coordination and care for breast cancer patients who are low risk i.e. non-complex care needs.
  • Work in conjunction with the Macmillan Breast Nursing Team to provide coordination of high quality patient care through on-going telephone/ face to face assessment and proactive identification of needs using basic knowledge, approved tools and procedures.
  • Collaborate and communicating with the Macmillan Breast Nursing Team , and wider health care teams to ensure the provision of appropriate services at the right time and in the right place.
  • Be a single point of contact for patients, carers and the healthcare team
