Senior Staff Nurse - Band 6 - 37 hours per week



9 Month Secondment to cover Maternity Leave


Ward 110 is looking for a hardworking, dynamic, proactive, and friendly nurse to join their senior nursing team in the Band 6 role for 9 months fixed contract to cover maternity leave.

Ward 110 consists of 32 beds looking after patients in the acute phase of their illness. The ward has a high turnover of admissions and discharges and it can be fast paced. It is a rewarding environment to work in and every day is different.

The post is rotational, working a 12-hour shift pattern, predominantly day shift in this role. The hours of work are 37 hours per week which will be worked over X3 days for 4 weeks and X4 days worked over x2 weeks.

You will be responsible for supporting the SCN with the leadership and management of the ward on a day-to-day basis. The candidate will deputise for the SCN as required. You will demonstrate excellent leadership, confident communication, and effective organisational skills. Evidence of personal development will be expected with a willingness to contribute to education and audits.


Band 6 Or General Medical Nursing Experience Is Essential.
