We are looking for a anti-coagulant Biomedical Science Advanced Practitioner or a Lead Nurse, to lead and support our anti-coagulant team who can demonstrate highly developed specialist knowledge and skills in the management of patients requiring anti-coagulant therapy.

You will line manage the staff within the team. The Biomedical Scientist Advanced Practitioner will formulate holistic care plans to manage and support the patient on oral anticoagulant therapy and will respond to actual and potential health problems appropriately.

Main duties of the job

The role ensures the provision of excellent care with compassion working with patients requiring anticoagulant therapy, developing a culture of patient self-management, allowing patients to develop responsibility for managing their own condition. Providing clinical expertise, specialist advice and support across service boundaries.

The anti-coagulant BMS Advanced Practitioner /Lead Nurse works as a key worker to the patients providing information, enabling communication and in coordinating care.
