The Home


Bradley Manor Care Home stands as a beacon of warmth and comfort since its establishment in 2. As the inaugural home of Healthcare Ireland Group, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional care tailored to the unique needs of each resident. With a total of 79 beds spread across Residential Dementia, Dementia Nursing and General/Frail Elderly Nursing units, we offer a continuum of care to suit varying levels of support required. Our scenic location offers breathtaking views of Belfast, providing a soothing backdrop for residents and families alike to enjoy.


The Role


This is a bank role. Care Assistants at Healthcare Ireland play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our Homes, providing essential support and assistance to Residents to ensure their wellbeing and comfort. Care Assistants are part of our frontline team, responsible for delivering personalised care and assistance with activities of daily living.

Our Care Assistants also provide emotional support and companionship to Residents, fostering meaningful relationships and promoting a sense of compassion, and advocacy for Residents rights and preferences.

Collaborating with Nurses, Wellbeing team, families and external healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and person-centred care, Care Assistants are essential in our mission to provide excellent care.


About The Role



Main Responsibilities


  • Assist qualified staff with care plans, tasks and activities to support the wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents
  • Participate in activities, motivating and supporting residents to get involved
  • Assist residents with eating, drinking, washing, dressing and going to the toilet
  • Assess and observe the emotional and physical wellbeing of residents, recognising changes and reporting as necessary in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records, communicating effectively with residents and their families
  • Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager

Desired Criteria


  • Qualifications in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Previous experience within a care setting
  • Educated to NVQ 2 level is desirable


Required Criteria


  • To be a good listener, showing patience, compassion, empathy and understanding
  • A good standard of written and oral English
  • The Right to Work in the UK
  • Be NISCC registered or eligible to register
