Radiology provides a 24/7 diagnostic imaging service to the Trust and you would be expected to participate in a system of work which supports this service.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a band 5 Radiographer who puts patients at the heart of their practice and want to develop in busy, friendly departments. If you are enthusiastic and hard working then the Imaging Departments at this busy Acute Teaching Foundation Trust are the place for you.
The main work area is within the Main X-Ray department at Chorley &South Ribble Hospital with occasional requirement to work within main X-Ray at Royal Preston Hospital. You would be working a combination of shifts including long days, nights and weekends in a rotation through all aspects of Plain film including theatres as well as CT and Fluoroscopy.
The trust is a major trauma centre and a regional centre for renal, oncology, neurological and vascular services. Imaging have a comprehensive preceptorship programme to assist you when embarking on your new career whilst offering development opportunities in many aspects of imaging for the more experienced radiographer.
Students due to qualify in Summer 2025 are welcome to apply for this position.

There will be opportunities to gain experience in other imaging modalities including CT, Intervention, Fluoroscopy and Nuclear medicine, with the possibility of advanced training in these areas The trust has recently invested in a variety of new equipment across all imaging modalities access on site to all Imaging specialties and the opportunity to undertake advanced practice.
