As a Kitchen Assistant at Avery Healthcare’s Chipstead home you’ll support the catering team with food preparation, beverage service and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment so residents receive high‑quality meals every day. The role covers safe food handling, stock checks and advising on supplies, working closely with colleagues and treating residents and visitors with dignity and respect. You will need a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, awareness of Health & Safety (including moving and handling, fire safety and COSHH), the physical stamina to cope with sustained effort and a caring, flexible approach. This permanent, part‑time position pays £13.10 per hour and requires a DBS check (paid for by Avery) and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
