Ashford & St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is offering an incredible opportunity for a compassionate and experienced Labour Ward Coordinator. As a pivotal leadership role, you'll oversee daily operations within the Labour Ward, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective care that enhances outcomes for service users. You'll work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), excelling in organisation, staffing management, and setting goals aligned with current maternity agendas. With ASPH's extensive services—including a homebirth service, alongside birthing centre, and a Level Neonatal Unit—you'll gain valuable experience supporting both uncomplicated and complex pregnancies. We are committed to your professional growth; upon joining, you will have a tailored training needs analysis and access to our QI academy and Managers Toolkit. Our supportive work culture prioritises staff wellbeing through an onsite free gym and various wellbeing resources. Let your future be intertwined with our journey to becoming an outstanding maternity unit.

In this supernumerary position, your clinical expertise will shine as you advocate for safe and effective practices, assisting the MDT in continuously refining plans of care for optimal outcomes. You'll coordinate safe staffing, patient flow, and bed capacity, enhancing patient-centred care across all maternity wards. Your role also includes providing pastoral care and facilitating an enriching learning environment for both students and qualified staff. Engage actively in initiatives like Safety Summit meetings to implement quality improvements and new practices. You are critical to fostering harmonious working relationships, promoting staff wellbeing, and handling complaints effectively.
