The Post holder will have an interest in ED as well as Acute medicine and wants to lead a dynamic team, towards developing the service and taking them in to the new hospital in 2.

As part of both the Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC), this duel clinical and leadership role will encompass the skills of departmental coordination, team leadership and management, clinical support, education, and mentorship. The role holder will demonstrate outstanding role modelling of the Trusts values and behaviours, within a demanding and service and leads the team of ACP's and EP's
The role holder is responsible for ensuring that the team meet the National and Trust governance standards, resulting in a skilled, engaged and efficient team of professionals who meet the ever-changing service needs of the Trust, this will include mentoring, coaching and supporting the clinicians and all staff groups within the UEC Division.
This duel focused role will also operate clinically as an experience Advanced Clinical Practitioner within Urgent Care, autonomously managing undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions across the age and acuity spectrum in line with local and national guidelines

Leadership and Management Act as key lead for the Urgent Care Advanced Clinical Practitioner team; delivering effective role model leadership behaviours, show resilience and manage effective governance strategies, which support the agenda for change within the Trust.
Education and Training able to identify, support and develop learning interventions for both self and team members.
Audit and Research to look at areas for quality improvements to care, use audit processes and both formal and informal research methods to improve service delivery

Financial ensure considered cost appraisal when requesting or referring for investigations, ordering stores or equipment, booking training/courses or when involved in service development and recruitment activities.
Prescribing responsibility must ensure Prescribing within the professional, legal and clinical boundaries whilst ensuring adherence to the Trusts Non-Medical Prescribing policy.
