Lead Occupational Therapist — a pivotal role within Active Neuro, the specialist neurorehabilitation arm of Active Care Group, based in Birmingham (B28). You will work in a newly refurbished service delivering intensive, goal-focused rehabilitation for adults with neurological conditions, using advanced kit such as the Luna EMG Premium and ExoMotus M4. This permanent, full‑time post (salary: £50,536/year) supports NHS, private and medicolegal referrals and offers the rare opportunity to provide longer-term, meaningful rehabilitation that restores independence, hobbies and quality of life. The service is expanding into outpatient pathways too, so you’ll contribute to continuity of care across inpatient and community settings.

As Lead Occupational Therapist you will manage and inspire the OT team while practising autonomously on a complex caseload, developing individualised treatment programmes with clients and their carers, supervising junior staff, students and assistants, and shaping clinical pathways and service development. You’ll take part in clinical audit, risk management and partnership work with charities such as Headway and the Spinal Injuries Association, and benefit from personalised CPD, conference attendance and peer support across sites. We’re looking for an HCPC‑registered clinician with solid neurorehabilitation experience and strong leadership skills; the role requires an Enhanced DBS. Family-friendly benefits include 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, birthday off, a 5% matched Aegon pension, access to Medicash and a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme, enhanced sick and maternity pay, and a Refer a Friend reward.
