Job description
Night-time Learning Disabilities Support Worker role with Cygnet Health Care at Oakwood Gardens, Wombourne (WV5). You’ll work 42 hours a week on nights (19:45–08:00) including alternate weekends, supporting nine self-contained bungalows for adults (18+) with learning disabilities, autism and complex mental health needs. The role is hands-on: promoting independence, supporting day-to-day living, monitoring wellbeing, recording health information and raising concerns with senior staff. Previous experience working with learning disabilities is essential, an enhanced DBS will be required, and — due to the occupational needs of the service — this vacancy can only accept male applicants.
This post offers clear pay and practical benefits (annual salary £26,208–£27,248, or hourly pay rising from £12.60 to £13.10), paid breaks, paid training and induction, free DBS, paid annual leave, free onsite parking, an NHS Blue Light Discount Card, Reward Gateway perks and a contributory pension. Cygnet is a large, supportive employer with strong career pathways and real opportunities to develop skills while making a meaningful difference at night — a role well suited to patient, reliable carers who value close teamwork and tailored support.
