Job description
Lead community mental health care as a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Community Psychiatry (C&H) with East London NHS Foundation Trust. This 0.6 FTE locum post covers maternity leave and offers part‑time hours delivering holistic, assertive care for working‑age adults with severe mental illness across primary and secondary community services. You will provide clinical leadership to the Neighbourhood Mental Health Team within a CQC‑rated Outstanding Trust, working alongside seven WTE consultants, trainees and specialty doctors and a well‑resourced multidisciplinary team including senior practitioners, occupational therapists, psychologists, ARRS staff, peer‑support and community connectors. The role combines a clinical caseload, service leadership and GP training and advice to strengthen primary care mental health, and is based at a central community clinic a five‑minute walk from Homerton Hospital and the lively Chatsworth Road, with excellent bus and overground links.
