I am looking for a positive, friendly and curious minded person; another human being with whom I will be able to build a connection and with. I have an acquired brain injury (ABI) and you will need to be skilled in identifying times of stress and anxiety, helping me to regulate and manage my thoughts and impulses. Experience in de-escalation techniques will be useful. I would like a PA who doesn’t mind meeting out and about (local cafes) and going out for short walks. Someone who is a good listener, has a good intellect (doesn’t mind talking about science) and has good intuition would be perfect for this role. Training and/or experience in understanding mental health will be required, but you will be provided with ongoing support with other professionals working with me. Duties include: - Transportation - Companionship - Accessing social and leisure activities e.g. going to the local café, short walks - Accompany and assist me with attending appointments/meetings Candidate qualities: - Reliable with good timekeeping - Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative - Hygienic, tidy and well organised - Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties - Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills - Able to always work to high standards of health & safety - Respectful of my privacy and confidentiality - Listener and non-judgmental - Joyful and flexible mindset Additional requirements Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours Notes: All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required.
