Band 4: £26,530 to £29,114 a year per annum  PERMANENT   NO SPONSORSHIP 

The Head & Neck Directorate is based within Outpatients West at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and encompasses ENT and Oral Health.

You will co-ordinate the Multidisciplinary meeting, producing and disseminating the list of patients for discussion and ensuring accurate data collection to support the process.

You will take responsibility for accurate data collection for the full Cancer registration dataset within the body site and submission to the relevant National Clinical Audit.

In collaboration with Clinical Lead for the body site, you will work closely with members of the Cancer team and with other MDT Coordinators and Patient Pathway Coordinators across the Trust in developing policies and procedures that ensure seamless management of Cancer patients in all specialties. To maintain up to date knowledge of all targets and processes relating to Cancer management and to be a point of reference within the department for other members of the MDT.

You will also work closely with Clinicians, Specialist Nurses, Secretaries and all members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) within the Body site and with associated departments, to ensure that patients on a Cancer pathway are actively managed through the patient pathway.

About us

  • Arrange the weekly MDT meeting; ensure appropriate venue and equipment available.
  • Collate, produce and disseminate the MDT list of patients for discussion in collaboration with the Clinical Team to include all appropriate new and historic cases.
  • To work closely with clinicians, specialist nurses, secretaries and all members of the Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) and associated departments to ensure that patients on a cancer pathway are actively managed through the patient pathway.
  • In the absence of the Patient Pathway Coordinator, co-ordinate the patient journey from referral, through diagnostics, treatment planning and treatment, highlighting any potential delays in the pathway and ensuring accurate data collection to support the process.
  • In response to Government Network / Local strategy initiate change within services in collaboration with the Cancer manager and Clinical lead.
