Based at Prince Charles Hospital, Merthyr Tydfil (CF47 9DT), this Medical Education Support Officer role with Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board places you at the heart of medical teaching for undergraduates and postgraduates. You will provide a mix of administrative and pastoral support across the C21 curriculum: timetabling, room bookings, preparing handbooks and promotional materials, collating student feedback, responding to student enquiries and liaising with senior clinicians, universities and HR. The post works with clear policies but calls for initiative, excellent written and verbal skills, strong IT and organisational ability, attention to detail and strict confidentiality. Experience in NHS or education settings is desirable and Welsh speaking at Level 3 is an advantage; a Disclosure and Barring Service check is required.
This permanent, full‑time Band 3 post (salary £25,313–£26,999) offers the stability and benefits of a large NHS employer—leading pension, generous leave, flexible working options and clear routes for learning and development. The role suits organised, empathetic people who enjoy supporting others—particularly women and carers seeking meaningful, stable work that balances administrative responsibility with people contact. CTM’s location gives easy access to Cardiff, the Brecon Beacons and the coast. Closing date: 19 October 2025.
