Support Biomedical Scientists and Consultant Histopathologists at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust as a Medical Laboratory Assistant based at Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport (SK2). You will sort and identify specimens, process body fluids and human tissue, prepare and record samples, load the digital pathology scanner and carry out general clerical tasks and data entry. The role covers routine histology, non-gynaecological cytology, frozen sections, immunohistochemistry and digital pathology in a well-equipped, fully computerised department. Accuracy, good organisational skills and attention to detail are essential; full training is provided and the post is subject to a DBS check. Please note this vacancy is not eligible for UK Health and Care Worker visa sponsorship, so applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
