Job description
As Medical Secretary/Administrator – Palliative Care at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (Wythenshawe, M23), you will provide high-quality administrative and transcription support to palliative medicine consultants and the clinical nurse specialist team. The role suits someone with strong typing, medical terminology knowledge and proven secretarial experience who can manage telephone and email enquiries, book clinics and appointments, maintain diaries, proofread and prepare clinic letters, collate results for reports and use electronic systems such as HIVE and Health Roster. You will organise meetings (agendas, minutes and follow-ups), keep stock and spreadsheets up to date, complete routine office tasks and audits, and prioritise your own workload while working both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. A Disclosure and Barring Service check is required and there is a full induction to develop your knowledge and skills.
