Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Secretary within the Medical Division working within Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology on the Arrowe Park site
The successful candidate will have the AMSPAR qualification or equivalent experience; they should be organised, approachable and happy to help.
Main duties of the job
This interesting and varied role requires the ability to work well on your own initiative whilst being committed to teamwork as you will need to work with others to meet the patients' needs.
This position also requires good communication skills, the ability to meet the demands of working in a busy environment and is able to represent the department with due professionalism.
You will responsible for implementing and managing systems for the office/team workload, ensuring work is completed within strict timescales.
You will need to exercise your judgement and initiative based on experience and knowledge of arising problems and taking appropriate action to resolve situations, including follow up with investigation results, ensuring that all results are presented to medical staff and subsequently auctioned/filed into patients medical records.
You will have the ability to work under pressure, prioritise your workload and to deal with confidential and sensitive issues in a professional manner.
