We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Practitioner to join our Mental Health team at HMP Belmarsh, a category A Prison located in Greenwich, London.

HMP Belmarsh is a male, maximum security prison that has a capacity for 910 inmates. Healthcare at HMP Belmarsh includes, Dentists, Primary Care, Mental Health, Substance abuse and Pharmacy.

Monday - Friday

Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £53,172 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks

As a Mental Health Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will

undertake medication rounds, and assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences and may be distressed
Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback
support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received
promote safe patient care
develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
