As a Mental Health Support Worker you will join the Psychiatry Liaison team at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester (DT1), supporting adults who present in crisis in the emergency department and on wards. The role centres on compassionate, practical care and close collaboration with consultants, nurses and external agencies to assess and stabilise patients in an acute hospital setting. This is a full‑time, permanent Band 3 post (£24,937–£26,598) requiring an Enhanced DBS (the Trust will meet the cost). Applicants who require UK healthcare sponsorship are not eligible. Prior experience in mental health is helpful but not essential — a comprehensive induction, regular supervision, reflective practice and ongoing training are provided.
