Care In Mind in Offerton, Stockport (SK2) is recruiting a part‑time Mental Health Support Worker to provide hands‑on, residential care for young people (16–30) in a welcoming four‑bed home. Working 30 hours per week (pro rata), you’ll help residents grow their independence through support with education, life skills, medication administration and everyday routines, while keeping accurate online records. The role involves supporting young people with a range of mental health needs, including self‑harm and disordered eating, so patience, resilience and the ability to stay calm in an emergency are essential. Previous care experience is desirable but not required — full induction, paid training, a DBS check and ongoing clinical mentoring are provided, making this an excellent role for experienced carers or women seeking meaningful, flexible part‑time work.

This permanent role pays £24,570–£25,662 (pro rata) and includes a strong benefits package: at least 30 days holiday plus a birthday day off, enhanced sick pay and pension, paid training and support towards Level 3 in Health & Social Care, a healthcare cashplan, life assurance, employee assistance/24‑hour counselling, menopause‑friendly policies and family‑friendly leave. You’ll work shifts including weekends and bank holidays and must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered); a driving licence and NVQ Level 2 are desirable.
