Job description
Bring your compassion and organisation to a busy, patient-facing role at Brackley Medical Centre (Brackley, NN13) as a Receptionist/Care Navigator. You will be the first point of contact for around 16,200 patients on our purpose-built site with an on‑site community hospital and a wide range of clinical services. Day-to-day you’ll welcome patients in person and by phone, book and amend appointments, direct people to the right clinician or service, register new patients for online services, process payments and deposits where needed, manage prescription requests and assist with general patient record administration. The role averages 30 hours 40 minutes per week on a permanent, part‑time contract (pay £12.21 per hour) with shifts: Monday 08:00–18:30; Tuesday 14:00–20:00; Wednesday 08:00–13:00; Thursday 08:00–18:30; Friday 08:00–18:30; and one in six Saturdays 08:15–12:15. The post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
This position suits experienced receptionists or compassionate carers who enjoy helping others and want a steady, meaningful role in a supportive practice. You’ll work alongside GPs, nurses, clinical pharmacists, physiotherapists and wellbeing practitioners in a teaching practice involved in research, with a strong culture of teamwork and sustainability (we’re part of the Green Impact Scheme). If you’re looking for a role that combines practical admin skills with genuine patient contact and career development, this is an excellent fit — especially for women seeking flexible, community‑centred work.
