Ravenswood Medical Practice has a vacancy for a part-time Receptionist. Working hours are 8.45 am to 7.00 pm Monday and Friday.We are looking for an enthusiastic Receptionist to join our busy, friendly GP Practice. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and flexible person to join our team of receptionists.
Main duties of the job
Ensure an effective and efficient reception service is provided to patients and any other visitors to the PracticeUsing your own judgment and communication skills ensure that patients with no prior appointment but who need urgent consultation are dealt with.Receive and make telephone calls as required, answering the call promptly in a polite and helpful manner, using agreed practice scripts as appropriate.Action repeat prescription requests and ensure that they are ready for collection by the patient within 72 hoursAdvise patients of relevant charges for private (non General Medical Services) services, accept payment and issue receipts for same.To liaise with hospitals in the booking of transportTo undertake chaperone duties for patients when requested by clinical staffEnsure that all new patients are registered onto the computer system promptly and accuratelyUndertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Partners or the Practice Manager.
