Job description
Based in Wandsworth (SW11) with Central London Community Health Trust, this Community Nursery Nurse (Health Visiting Team) Band 4 role offers hands‑on, community‑facing work supporting 0-5 caseloads and their families as part of the 0-19 Health Visiting service. You will work under the delegation of health visitors to deliver elements of the Healthy Child Programme across homes and local community settings, carrying out clinical interventions, making observations and offering evidence‑based advice on parenting, nutrition and weaning, play and stimulation, speech and language, sleep and toilet training to help children get school ready. The post demands someone observant and organised who can work independently yet collaborates closely within the team to provide high quality, compassionate support to families.
This permanent Band 4 position pays £33,094–£36,195 per annum (inclusive of HCAS) and is available as full‑time, part‑time or flexible working. It suits experienced early years practitioners or carers with NNEB/BTEC/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), practical experience with children and families in health, education or social care, sound safeguarding knowledge, basic IT skills and strong communication. You will need to travel across the borough, attend homes and community venues, and be able to carry equipment; a DBS check is required.
