Job description
Nursery Nurse - Neonatal Unit at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (Homerton, E9). This part‑time, permanent Band 4 role (salary £33,094–£36,195 pro rata) supports the Neonatal Unit under the direction of the Nurse in Charge, providing hands‑on care for newborns and practical support to families. You will assist with family‑integrated care, perform basic nursing tasks after competency sign‑off (observations, oxygen saturation, blood glucose, urinalysis, tube feeds and near‑patient testing), ensure infection control, prepare and monitor feeds, support and promote breastfeeding, give prescribed medications and fluids, and take part in daily ward rounds and discharge planning. The post requires NNEB/NVQ Level 3/BTEC or equivalent, prior experience in an acute healthcare setting (neonatal experience desirable), and a willingness to work within established safeguarding, confidentiality and safety procedures; an enhanced DBS check is required and skilled worker sponsorship applications are welcome.
