Job description
Lead a multidisciplinary reablement team in Brent as an Occupational Therapist (Deputy Team Manager), based in Wembley with hybrid working up to two days a week. This full‑time permanent role offers a salary of £52,194 to £55,323 plus an annual retention payment of £3,000 for eligible frontline managers and a £5,000 ‘golden hello’ for new DTM OTs on completion of probation. You will provide professional guidance and supervision to Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Care Assessors and OT Assistants, shape person‑centred reablement pathways after hospital discharge, strengthen integrated working with NHS, housing and voluntary partners, and oversee service delivery in line with Care Act duties and best practice. The post is hands‑on and managerial: you’ll support staff development, lead service improvement and ensure high standards of practice for adults and older people across a diverse, community‑focused borough.
This opportunity suits an experienced HCPC‑registered Occupational Therapist with significant post‑qualification experience in adult social care, intermediate care or reablement and a track record of supervising staff, students or volunteers. Brent offers strong family‑friendly policies, flexible working, up to 33 days’ annual leave (depending on service), the LGPS pension, health and wellbeing support including a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme, learning and development pathways and a range of travel and lifestyle perks. Brent is a Disability Confident employer and supports reasonable adjustments.
