d Health and Adult Social Care Occupational Therapists, Assistant Practitioners and Assistants to assess and treat adults with a range of conditions within their own homes.You will be supported by the wider North Occupational Therapy Team and will work under the direction and supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist. Main duties of the job
As an OT Assistant Practitioner under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist you will be expected to work on your own and as part of a team focusing on excellent quality patient care, including formulating treatment goals and identifying rehabilitation plans.As part of this role, you will be expected to:Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, show initiative and team spirit as well as committed to be patient care.Be flexible and able to work in various locations in North Staffordshire, as the service requires.Understand assessment and rehabilitation appropriate to the role.Have good IT skills, knowledge and understanding of criteria for equipment provision.We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with:Keen interest & / or

Experience
of working in rehabilitation services and can demonstrate an understanding of therapy and service needs.Ability to assess new service user referrals and care/support needs.Proactive in developing sound clinical skills in the assessment and management of patients in the rehabilitation & / or community environmentappropriate to the role.To deliver a high standard of intervention, whilst managing the demands of unplanned aspects of the role.To take accountability for allocated assessments, planning & implementation of interventions within their caseload.
