Job description
Play a key role in a well-established operational management team at East Cheshire NHS Trust, supporting delivery of performance standards and day-to-day surgical services. You will work closely with specialties to plan and monitor 18-week RTT pathways, track cancer pathways by attending specialty cancer meetings, and participate in weekly reviews of theatre capacity and surgical bed management to maximise day‑case and inpatient availability. The post involves data collection and analysis, drafting SBARs, business cases and capital bids, supporting governance, HR and performance management, contributing to trust‑wide projects and assisting with budgetary control. The right candidate will be confident influencing change, comfortable in a fast‑moving environment and skilled in report writing, presentation and using IT systems; a DBS check is required.
This permanent, full‑time Band 6 role (37.5 hours/week) is open only to staff within the ECT Family — current East Cheshire NHS Trust employees, NHSP and ECT bank staff, ISS staff and Trust volunteers — and is subject to Job Matching; Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship is not available. Based at Macclesfield District General Hospital, the post offers a varied, hands‑on role where strong organisational skills and a collaborative, caring approach will directly improve patient pathways.
