The role involves applying and removing plaster casts, strapping and splints, supporting limb positioning during procedures, undertaking wound care including removal of sutures and clips and pin-site care, and documenting treatments accurately. You will work under the direction of medical staff and the nurse-in-charge, often without direct supervision and sometimes across peripheral hospitals. Competency in ANTT, the British Casting Certificate and HCA Level 2 (or equivalent) are essential; DBS clearance is required and applications from those needing Skilled Worker sponsorship will be considered. Preference may be given to internal Trust staff and candidates with recent relevant experience as specified in the person specification.
