Typical duties include reception and telephone handling, checking patient identification and attaching barcodes, registering and filing samples and request cards, preparing worksheets, monitoring incubators and refrigeration temperatures, managing deliveries and mail, and helping patients and clinical staff understand test requirements. The post supports a 24/7 service with shifts worked between 08:45 and 21:00 across seven days (up to 37.5 hours per week), including weekends and bank holidays; evening and weekend part-time patterns are available and all roles will be considered for flexible working.
