Play a vital behind-the-scenes role as a Pathology Support Worker (Biochemistry) at University Hospitals of North Midlands, based at Royal Stoke, Newcastle (ST4). This permanent, full-time post is 37.5 hours per week (7.5‑hour days), working Monday–Friday with alternating weeks 09:00–17:00 and 12:00–20:00 and a bank‑holiday rota. You will receive and identify hospital and GP biological samples, barcode and label specimens, enter confidential data onto the Pathology Masterlab system, sort and distribute samples and load/unload the automated blood sciences track. The role is Band 2 with a salary of £24,465 pa and requires a good standard of GCSEs (including Maths, English and a Science), basic IT/data‑entry experience, an awareness of health and safety and a DBS check.
