The teams work with service users aged 14-65 who are experiencing a first episode or early psychosis, and their families, for up to 3 years, as well as people presenting with an at-risk mental state. There is a string commitment to provide an excellent standard of care and to continually improve what we do.In this role the appointed candidate will have completed their PSW training and Care Certificate. We are looking for someone with at least 12 months
Experience
of working in a PSW role, Maths and English at grades A-C
Qualifications
and a level 3 qualification relevant to the role. The Peer practitioner employed will be supported by the Senior PSW to safely navigate and thrive in the role. They will work closely alongside the occupational therapists within the team to provide OT specific interventions to EI patients.
Main duties of the job
You will work as part of the well established Early Intervention team based in Coventry. Your role will involve supporting the teams occupational therapists to deliver specific interventions in an individual or group capacity to patients who may benefit from your lived
Experience
lens. You will also support care coordinators and other members of the MDT in delivering NICE approved standards of care. Good interpersonal skills are essential in building good therapeutic relationships and instilling a sense of hope and recovery in the patients you work with.You will receive regular support from a clinical supervisor as well the team managers. You will be expected to deliver supervision for band 3 peer support workers across the 3 EI Teams. There will also be opportunities to support the team with bringing a lived

perspective to service development and being involved in recruitment.Your impact will be wide-reaching. As well as working alongside an MDT, you'll work closely with the Recovery and Wellbeing Academy, which delivers educational courses and workshops to anyone over the age of 18 living in Coventry and Warwickshire. You will contribute to the co-creation and delivery of these workshops and courses.
