Tower Hamlets is excited to introduce a new pilot project which will be centred around the Trieste model of mental healthcare from Italy. Trieste has a world-renowned reputation in community psychiatry. Tower Hamlets seeks to introduce this new way of working into ELFTs mental healthcare system. The aims of the pilot are to establish and test out a new model of care that breaks down current barriers to care, is nonrestrictive, co-produced, culturally sensitive and accessible. The service will run 24hrs a day, 7 days a week for people residing in the catchment area offering open access to a range of psycho-social-medical interventions at every stage of their wellness journey.

This opportunity will suit people who are looking to progress from an entry-level peer support role, and whose values align with the project. We are keen to hear from people who reflect the community that will be served, particularly applicants from the Bangladeshi and Somali community, and those who can speak the respective languages, are welcomed.
