Support a 27‑year‑old man with muscular dystrophy to live independently and enjoy social life in his family home in Chichester. Two Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker roles will share daytime cover across seven days, supporting personal care with hoist transfers and electric wheelchair use, gastric tube nutrition and medication administration, physiotherapy exercises, dressing, bathing and household tasks. The role also involves driving an automatic wheelchair‑adapted vehicle to matches, appointments and leisure activities, plus occasional longer journeys. Sample split shifts include PA1: Wed 07:30–11:30, Fri 07:30–20:30 and one Sunday in four; PA2: Thurs 07:30–11:30, Sat 07:30–20:30 and one Sunday in four. Permanent, full‑time, on‑site in Chichester. Pay: £14.20/hr Mon–Fri, £15.20/hr Saturday, £16.20/hr Sunday. Driving licence essential.

This opportunity will particularly appeal to compassionate, organised carers — especially women who enjoy hands‑on support and community outings — comfortable with pets, hoisting, tube‑feeding and working both independently and as part of a friendly daytime team. Full training will be provided. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check; the role may be offered employed (with holiday entitlement and a contract) or self‑employed depending on agreement.
