Wootton Vale and Shortstown Surgery is a forward thinking and innovative practice looking to recruit a GP pharmacy assistant to join our dynamic team.You will be organised, self-motivated, and a care-driven individualwho can demonstrate a talent for helping our patients to achieve the best clinical outcome. Main duties of the job
Support the clinical pharmacists and technician in the practice-based pharmacy team.Provide general administrative duties, including internal tasks, emails and phone calls.Expedite prescriptions to help ensure a safe and responsive service.Assess and be able to signpost queries to the attention of the relevant clinician.Create tasks and assist clinicians in managing document workflow relating to prescriptions and medication management.Involvement with chronic disease management.

We are a friendly surgery with a list size of 18,000 patients, over two sites, Wootton Vale, (MK43 9JJ), and branch site Shortstown Surgery, (MK42 0GS). We have good appointment access, which translates to happy patients, and a strong teamwork ethos, that includes an established clinical pharmacy team, GPs, nurses, physician associates, & a clinical liaison team. We are also a Training Practice and currently have GP trainees working with us.Our practice ethos is to provide traditional levels of patient care and friendliness, through innovation, supported by the latest technology. We work closely with our community partners and with the other GP practices within our primary care network.Our staff comprises:3 GP partners,Salaried GPs, and Physician Associate.A multi-skilled nursing team, including nurse prescribers.Clinical pharmacists, a pharmacy technician, and apprenticeDedicated management, clinical support, administrative and reception teams.
