Job description
Work as a Pharmacy Assistant at HMP Wealstun, near Wetherby (LS23), supporting a close‑knit onsite pharmacy team in a varied, patient‑facing role. You will dispense and label medicines, prepare prescriptions, second‑check controlled drugs and assist Pharmacy Technicians and the Pharmacy Manager with medicines reconciliation, stock management and safe transportation of medicines. This position suits someone with an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Dispensing and experience in a pharmacy or other healthcare setting who brings a calm, compassionate and non‑judgemental approach. Due to the secure setting, the role requires the legal right to work in the UK and is subject to additional vetting and Disclosure and Barring Service checks.
This full‑time post is 37.5 hours per week (08:00–16:00 or 09:00–17:00), Monday to Friday — no weekend or bank holiday working — and offers up to £29,723 per annum depending on experience.
