Make a genuine difference supporting people in secure healthcare as a Pharmacy Support Worker with Practice Plus Group at HMP YOI Moorland, near Hatfield (Doncaster, DN7). This full‑time role (37.5 hours/week) offers a salary of £24,669 per annum and a rotating 4‑in‑7 shift pattern — three 9.5‑hour days and one 9‑hour day with alternate weekends; typical shifts are 07:30–17:30 and 07:30–17:00. You will work within a Category C male adult and young offenders prison (operational capacity ~1,100) supporting Pharmacy Technicians and the Pharmacy Manager, working from medication rooms on the wings, second‑checking medication on rounds, assisting with medicines reconciliation, stock and transport, and helping maintain safe, secure medicines management as part of a multi‑disciplinary healthcare team including primary care, substance misuse and mental health services. Due to the setting, appointment is subject to right to work checks, DBS and additional vetting.

This role suits caring, practical people — especially women carers looking for a stable, meaningful career in pharmacy and healthcare — and no previous pharmacy experience is essential; an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Dispensing or medicines‑handling experience is a bonus. Practice Plus Group offers a bespoke induction including Introducing Health in Justice training, ongoing learning via a dedicated LMS, clear competency frameworks and regional/national development opportunities. Benefits include a company pension, 25 days’ annual leave (increasing to 28 with service) plus bank holidays, wellbeing and lifestyle discounts, 24/7 employee assistance and strong long‑term career prospects.
