We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Hewell, a category B Prison located in Redditch.

In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.

Hours

Monday to Friday: 07:00 18:30   Weekends and Bank Holidays: 08:30 17:30   You will work a fixed rolling shift pattern, working 14-15 days per month: Week1: 4 days including weekends Week 2: 3 days weekdays only   Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary between £27,247 - £32,346 per annum  - depending on experience.

As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service, taking into consideration, at all times, the need to maintain a high level of security.
  • Hold direct patient contact, which will be part be of a comprehensive healthcare package, based on the prison services needs
  • Make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals

As a GPHC registered pharmacy technician with Practice Plus Group you will become an integral member of pharmacy team, as well as a valued member of the multidisciplinary clinical healthcare team.

You will;

Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.

Focusing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.

Deliver non-judgmental care within the scope of professional standards. Involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy. You will make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
