We have an exciting opportunity for a band 4 Integrated Therapy Assistant to join our School Years team to further their knowledge and skills in paediatrics in a part time permanent post (22.5 hours per week, flexible working opportunities, such as term time only may be available)
In this position you would have the opportunity to work alongside experienced physiotherapists and occupational therapists within mainstream schools and specialist resources. CYPIT therapy assistants are valued members of the team who support practitioners in their area of practice. The successful candidate will receive supervision and varied CPD opportunities from the wider therapy workforce.
The role will involve travel to several sites but also leaves room for some home working.
Our CYPIT service supports children and young people from birth to 19 years of age across Berkshire. We're an integrated therapy service, committed to impact-based clinical decision making and co-production of therapy plans with our families and partners.
To work as a key member of the CYPIT service providing essential support to enable the service to deliver a high-quality therapy service to Children and Young People in Berkshire.
To carry out a range of work tasks and interventions independently under the direction of a CYPIT Therapist (with and/or without direct supervision).
To contribute to and deliver support and training to schools, parents and carers as part of service delivery.
Be responsible for a specific defined workload as agreed with your allocated supervisor. This will involve planning, organising and documenting of key activities, as well as supporting any project work or service development.
Be responsible for specific defined tasks, which support the service provided by the therapy team. This will include contributing to the assessment as well as provision of direct therapy and training
To provide leadership and training as agreed with supervisor to junior staff, patients, carers and other professionals as relevant to your skills and knowledge.
