Job summary
We are looking for someone to join our enthusiastic, compassionate and patient-centred team. This post is ideal for someone passionate about helping patients with chronic pain improve their function and quality of life.The Band 3 Physiotherapy Assistant will work as part of the Multidisciplinary Pain Management Service, supporting the delivery of rehabilitation to patients living with chronic pain. The role involves assisting qualified physiotherapists and psychologists in both group and individual settings, contributing to patient assessments, rehabilitation programmes, and administrative duties.In your application please include a paragraph that demonstrates how you have worked collaboratively within a team and what you learnt from this.Please note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Main duties of the job
Following appropriate training, you will assist in the delivery of pain management and movement groups to a variety of patients.You will be supporting patients utilising a variety of basic therapy techniques following assessment of patients by a physiotherapist. This includes supervising an exercise programme set by the physiotherapist, issuing and teaching use of walking aids or splints and assisting in the running of group exercise classes.Following an induction period, you will be expected to manage your own limited patient list. You will be provided with regular supervision and support within the team.There are some non patient facing jobs involved in the role including support with the administration for the classes in the service and bookings with support from senior staff, and data collection and audit.

After a period of training to be responsible for implementing the standards and policies relevant to the speciality working within codes of practice and professional guidelines.Within specific guidelines and following training, to be solely responsible and accountable for a clinical case load working within codes of practice and professional guidelines. This includes patient documentation in both professional and medical notes and recording contacts on EPIC.
