As a Band 3 Physiotherapy Technical Instructor at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Trustwide NE1), you will deliver hands‑on rehabilitation under the supervision of registered physiotherapists. Working on medical wards within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll support patients to optimise movement and independence by guiding exercises, practising functional tasks, assisting with therapeutic moving and handling, monitoring responses to treatment and maintaining clear patient records. The role also involves equipment and stock upkeep, basic administrative duties such as timetabling, and contribution to team meetings and service improvement projects while working to agreed clinical protocols.

This permanent, full‑time Band 3 post offers a competitive NHS salary (£24,937–£26,598) for approximately 37.5 hours per week and is based in a flexible‑working friendly Trust that supports learning and career development. The opportunity suits practical, caring people — particularly those balancing family or caring responsibilities — who have a good standard of education, a technical qualification or experience as a therapy assistant, and the physical capability to support patient handling.
