An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly surgery. We are looking for a candidate full of enthusiasm with drive and determination who is ready for a challenge, to join our team of 2 Nurses and 3 Health Care assistants. The role will be varied and cover all aspects of Practice Nursing with a view to lead on Infection control.
We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse who is friendly and enthusiastic to provide a high quality of care to our patients. The scope of the role with include Long term condition management, childhood immunisations, cytology, smears, vaccinations, infection control & audits.
The successful candidate will also be confident, have excellent organisations skills, be able to self-manage and be IT proficient.
About us
We are recruiting for a Practice Nurse who will fulfil all the traditional core responsibilities of the role, including:
- Long term condition management
- Cytology
- Child Immunisations
- Vaccinations
- Contraception
- Swabs, specimens, bloods, blood pressures
- Keeping accurate and detailed health records
- Involvement in QOF achievement
- Lead on infection control and Audits
This postholder will also uphold the Surgeries protocols and policies, carrying out their role with compassion and professionalism.
This role will support the wider team with:
- Safeguarding concerns
- Support and participate in shared learning over the Practice
- Support for GPs in patient care
- Monitoring of safe storage, rotation and disposal of medicaments.
