The Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 8b Principal Clinical Psychologist to take on a clinical lead role within the Child & Young People's Enhanced Support Service (CYPRESS) in West Sussex. This part-time position (0.6 WTE) involves leading a multi-disciplinary team that includes clinical psychologists, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and positive behaviour support specialists, all dedicated to supporting families of children with learning disabilities exhibiting challenging behaviors. The role emphasises creativity and innovation in service delivery, with opportunities to develop the service further in alignment with the Transforming Care Agenda.

Candidates should possess significant experience in clinical psychology, particularly in working with complex cases related to learning disabilities and multi-agency systems. The Principal Clinical Psychologist will oversee the development of the CYPRESS service, lead CAMHS Learning Disability initiatives, and be heavily involved in integrating care pathways across Sussex. Strong leadership, supervision, and risk management skills are essential, as the post-holder will coordinate clinical pathways and collaborate closely with various partners in health, education, and social care.
