Job description
Work as a Radiology Department Assistant (CT/MRI) at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, supporting patients through CT and MRI examinations with occasional rotations into Nuclear Medicine and Fluoroscopy. You will prepare patients, assist radiographers and assistant practitioners, carry out manual handling and stock checks, and provide a trained cannulation service (training available) while acting as a calm, reassuring presence during scans. The role includes mentoring junior RDAs, keeping accurate patient records, complying with safety and data-protection regulations (including MRI safety, COSHH and Health & Safety), and working flexibly to cover some evenings and weekends. This is a hands-on post where patient needs come first and attention to detail and clear communication with people from diverse backgrounds are essential.
