Job description
Based at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, this Radiology Department Assistant role supports clinical work across CT, MR, Ultrasound and Fluoroscopy in a busy, state-of-the-art paediatric service. You will assist radiographers, sonographers and consultants, helping with patient care during visits and supporting procedures such as biopsies, aspirations and injections. The job suits someone who enjoys moving around within a friendly department, is flexible under pressure, communicates clearly (including taking accurate telephone messages) and can work well in a team. Previous experience with the public is essential and NHS or hospital experience is desirable; a DBS check will be required.
This permanent, full‑time post is part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (Agenda for Change Band 2) with a salary of £24,465 pa (pro rata).
