People‑facing role that suits empathetic, patient‑centred candidates

Manor Medical Practice is recruiting two part‑time Receptionists to work across Girlington (BD8 9PB) and Allerton Health Centre (BD15 7WA). Each post is 20 hours per week with split shifts (08:00–13:00 and 13:00–18:00), permanent and paid depending on experience. You’ll be the friendly first point of contact: greeting and directing patients, managing the appointment system, processing telephone and e‑requests, handling prescription queries, reading and coding on SystmOne, maintaining records and reception areas, and signposting or liaising with clinical teams and external services. The practice is a large training surgery, so there’s a supportive environment with opportunities to learn and assist clinical staff with administrative tasks.
This role suits organised, compassionate people — particularly women and carers who value part‑time, reliable shifts and a caring workplace. Essential qualities include politeness, flexibility, strong communication and IT skills, a clear telephone manner, experience of working with the public and in health settings, SystmOne competence, GCSE level education (or equivalent) and the ability to work under pressure; a DBS check is required. Manor Medical Practice champions equality, diversity and patient rights. Previous applicants need not apply. This vacancy is listed on jobsincare.com — to apply simply click the “Apply Now” button.
