Job description
As a Recovery Worker (Housing Support Team) in Bournemouth for We Are With You, you will work directly with people affected by drug, alcohol and mental health issues to prevent evictions and sustain tenancies. In this frontline role you’ll co-design recovery plans, manage an active caseload, deliver interventions and coordinate care across partners. The post is full time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional evenings and weekends), fixed term until 31/03/2026, and involves community outreach (driving licence preferred but not essential). Starting salary is £25,000 with pay progression up to £30,000, and the service delivers continuity of care to a diverse client group in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
This role suits compassionate women and carers — whether you’ve worked in health, social care, criminal justice, volunteered or provided family care — who bring strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills. You’ll receive training and support, and the organisation is disability-confident and offers guaranteed interview schemes for veterans and candidates with disabilities who meet the essential criteria; a DBS check is required. Benefits include 28 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, an extra day off for your birthday or a special occasion, enhanced parental leave, 2 days paid volunteer leave, pension enrolment, Blue Light Card savings, flexible working options and a refer-a-friend bonus.
