Job description
Support adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults across small complex care services and residential homes in Grimsby (DN37) and the wider Yorkshire & Midlands region as a Regional Occupational Therapist Assistant with Elysium Healthcare. In this full‑time, permanent role (37.5 hours) you’ll assist with clinically related activities and administration, deliver 1:1 and group therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist, contribute to assessment and care planning, run community integration and vocational activities, and keep concise Carenotes records. The role involves travelling between services (mileage paid — a driving licence and access to a vehicle are required). Salary is £25,058 a year and the package includes 33 days’ annual leave (including bank holidays) plus your birthday off, subsidised meals, free parking, wellbeing support, pension contributions, life assurance and an enhanced maternity package.
This opportunity suits experienced carers — especially women looking for hands‑on, purposeful work and clear routes for development — who have experience supporting autistic adults, people with learning disabilities or mental health needs, good communication and IT skills, and the ability to run meaningful activities. You’ll receive training, clinical and management supervision, and work within a friendly multidisciplinary team for an established employer that values inclusive recruitment (Disability Confident) and safer recruitment practices; all appointments are subject to a DBS check.
