Job description
We are looking to appoint a Registered Service Manager to our Complex Needs Service within Highland Home Carers, Scotland's second-largest employee-owned organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager with a background in Health and/or Social Care to join a committed and motivated team.
With headquarters in Inverness, HHC delivers services to adults with a wide range of support needs, including learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, complex needs, and physical support needs. Therefore, it is desirable that you bring previous experience in a range of health and social care services.
As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for driving forward the Complex Needs Team, delivering high-quality person-centered care, and striving for Operational Excellence. You will also be responsible for creating effective relationships with stakeholders. You will provide
dynamic leadership to the operational team and staff, focusing on measurable quality outcomes for both the staff teams and the individuals supported and regular cover of the on-call service is essential. The ideal candidate will have:
• Previous experience of leading and managing in a registered Social Care Service, preferably in a Complex Needs Setting
• A proven ability to build positive professional relationships with people who use services and their families.
• Knowledge of the Human Rights Framework and how to deal with safeguarding issues appropriately
• The ability to lead, inspire and motivate colleagues at all levels.
• A commitment to incorporating equal opportunities to all aspects of work
• A formal qualification in Health and/or Social Care, at a minimum level of SVQ 4 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
