Relief Support Worker role in Sawdlincote, Derbyshire (DE11 9UA) with Real Life Options offering £12.21 per hour on a permanent, full-time relief basis. You will support adults with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs in purpose-built apartments and bungalows, helping people to live as independently as possible. Day-to-day duties include following individual daily planners, supporting financial expenditure, domestic tasks and administering medication, with occasional personal care, meal planning and preparation, and encouragement to maintain relationships and build new friendships. A key part of the role is enabling community participation, volunteering and access to further education. Shifts vary across days (typically 07:00–22:00) and waking nights (22:00–07:00) so flexibility to cover any shift pattern over seven days is essential; an Enhanced DBS check will be required.

This role is ideal for compassionate carers — particularly women seeking meaningful, flexible work that fits around family life — who value accredited training, strong local support and progression. Real Life Options offers at least 28 days’ paid holiday (pro rata), an employer contributory pension, accredited training, a Health Cash Plan, life cover, an Employee Assistance Programme, cycle-to-work and financial wellbeing schemes, plus recognition and referral incentives. The service is values-led and Disability Confident, with mentoring and development to help you grow professionally while making a tangible difference to people’s lives.
