Support people with borderline personality disorder by recruiting and assessing participants for the QUEST trial across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. You will travel to community mental health clinics and participants’ homes from a base in Cambridge (CB21), explain the study, obtain informed consent and carry out structured interviews and psychometric measures including the ZAN‑BPD and SCID‑5‑PD. The role involves accurate data collection, anonymising and entering information onto an external research database, scoring tests, maintaining screening logs and ensuring research procedures follow the approved protocol and governance standards. Full training and supervision will be provided and you will work within the Trust’s R&D team alongside the Chief and Principal Investigators and a supportive study team to meet recruitment and data milestones.

This part‑time, fixed‑term post (30 months) is Band 5 (salary £31,049–£37,796 pro rata) and suits someone with a degree in a health or social science, experience in mental health settings and confidence recruiting and consenting participants. You should be organised, able to work independently, comfortable with sensitive conversations and have good IT and database skills; knowledge of borderline personality disorder and research ethics is important and GCP awareness is desirable. A DBS check is required and you must hold a full UK driving licence with use of a vehicle (public transport is not acceptable for this role). The Trust is an inclusive employer and the role’s flexible hours, patient‑facing focus and development opportunities make it especially attractive to women and carers seeking meaningful, part‑time research work.
